Bole, April 14, 2026 – The District Chief Executive for Bole District, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud, has chalked a significant achievement with the successful facilitation of the commencement of Metro Mass Transit (MMT) bus services from Tamale to Bole. This milestone marks a major step forward in addressing long-standing transportation challenges and improving connectivity within the Savannah Region.
Through proactive leadership and strategic engagement, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud spearheaded a series of high-level discussions over the past week with the management of Metro Mass Transit Limited in Tamale. These engagements meticulously addressed key operational areas, including scheduling, ticketing systems, safety protocols, and logistics. As a direct result of these efforts, all arrangements have been finalized for the service to begin within a week.

This achievement reflects the DCE’s commitment to delivering practical solutions to the people of Bole. By successfully attracting this vital public transport service, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud has helped bridge a critical mobility gap affecting residents, traders, students, and visitors.
The Tamale–Bole Metro Mass Transit service is anticipated to bring significant socio-economic advantages, including the following:
