Hon. Abdulai Mahmud Advances Bole College of Education Project: A Milestone for Teacher Training and Local Development

The long-held dream of establishing a College of Education in Bole is moving steadily toward reality, as work on a temporary structure to accommodate the institution gathers momentum.

Today, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud, visited the site to inspect progress, engage with contractors, and interact with community leaders, underscoring his hands-on approach to development.

The temporary facilities, which include lecture halls, administrative offices, and essential amenities, are designed to host the first cohort of trainee teachers while permanent structures are being developed at the main campus.

Walking through the classrooms, Hon. Mahmud expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, praising the contractors for adhering to project timelines and maintaining high standards. He emphasized that the facility will be ready to welcome students once all academic approvals and arrangements are finalized.

Community leaders and residents accompanying the DCE highlighted the broader impact of the college, noting that it will expand access to teacher training in the Savannah Region and stimulate the local economy through increased demand for accommodation, goods, and services.

“As a government, we are committed to strengthening teacher education infrastructure in Bole,” Hon. Mahmud said. “This project will not only prepare the next generation of teachers but also create new opportunities for our local community. We are determined to see the College of Education commence academic activities as soon as possible.”

Under the visionary leadership of Hon. Abdulai Mahmud, the Bole District continues to make tangible progress in education, infrastructure, and community development—bringing quality services closer to the people and laying a strong foundation for the region’s growth.
