A passionate and versatile professional with a solid background in Agricultural Engineering and Education, complemented by hands-on experience in farm management and inventory operations. Holds a Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Engineering from Tamale Technical University a post graduate Diploma in Education from University of Education Winneba and an HND in Agricultural Engineering from Tamale Polytechnic.

Exhibits exceptional leadership and organizational skills through roles such as School Chaplain, Patron of the Cadet Corps, and Secretary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization. Gained practical expertise as an Integrated Science and General Agriculture teacher, Assistant Farm Manager, and Assistant Storekeeper.

Committed to community development and teamwork, with a demonstrated history of leadership, including serving as Treasurer for the Polytechnic Engineering Students Association of Ghana (PESAG), President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association,Salaga Circuit,Secretary Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, Northern Region.

As DCE, Hon. Mahmud works closely with the District Assembly, traditional authorities, government agencies, and development partners to deliver essential services and implement national programs at the local level. His leadership has strengthened key sectors such as water and sanitation, agriculture, education, local economic development, and community security.

Known for his humility, discipline, and consultative approach, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud is widely respected for his integrity and dedication to accountable governance. His vision is to build a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous Bole District where development reaches every community and every citizen has the chance to thrive.
