Hon. Abdulai Mahmud Leads Community-Wide Clean-Up as Bole Marks National Sanitation Day

The Bole District Assembly today joined districts across the country in observing the National Sanitation Day, marked on the first Saturday of every month, by organizing a large-scale cleanup exercise aimed at fostering a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment.

The exercise was led by the District Chief Executive for Bole, Hon. Abdulai Mahmud, and drew active participation from the District Coordinating Director, staff of the Assembly, personnel from the security services, students and teachers from local senior high schools, as well as a strong contingent of youth from the Bole community.

Armed with cleaning tools and a shared sense of purpose, participants desilted gutters, cleared drains, collected refuse, and undertook general environmental sanitation activities across key parts of the township.

The initiative highlighted the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining hygiene standards and reducing sanitation-related health risks. It also reinforced the Assembly’s commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness through community engagement and regular sanitation campaigns.
